Geography - Statement of intent

In Geography at Town Field Primary we want pupils to be fascinated by and interested in the world around them. Pupils will investigate a range of places around the world, developing their knowledge of physical and human geography, the climate and different cultures. They will be encouraged to compare places and lives around the world to their own lives, in Doncaster. We encourage pupils to take pride in the world around them and care for their environment, on both a local and global scale, thinking about the impact their actions have on the world. At Town Field we aim to give our pupils strong geographical knowledge, good enquiry skills, the ability to use a range of maps and atlases, the skills to compare and contrast and present data in a variety of ways.
