PE days

Outdoor PE is on a Monday – children need suitable kit to stay warm outdoors eg black joggers, white t-shirt and a black hoody/jumper as well as trainers. (Children will come home in their PE kits).

Indoor PE is on a Wednesday – children need their indoor kit of black shorts and white t-shirt.  (Children can come to school in their PE kit and bring their uniform in a separate bag to change into after the lesson.)

Reading Books

Reading books should be brought to school on a daily basis.  Please remember to sign your child’s reading diary each time you listen to them read as this means that they can collect Reading Credits towards claiming a free book of their choice.

Reading books will generally be changed on a Friday.

If anybody would like to volunteer to listen to children read in school, please speak with any member of staff.

Supporting your child at home

• Please listen to your child read as often as possible and/or remember to read to them as this is still vitally important for them to hear an adult read to help with their use of expression and intonation.
• Times Table Rock Star – children all still have a valid login and should aim to practise their times table skills regularly.
• A homeork activity will be sent home each week on a Friday and any returned by the following Monday will be awarded with 10 DOJO points.
