Summer Activities 2020

Please see below for Summer Activities for children over the coming weeks:

Cast Doncaster:

www.castindoncaster.com

Cast will be delivering an exciting creative project this summer

Adventures in Donny land will be a self-guided creative adventure that children aged 5 – 11 will be able to participate in, supported by digital resources.

The idea will be inspired by Alice in Wonderland, but with a local twist, and will be a combination of creative activities that can be accessed through a range of mediums.

Children will be able to decide whether they wish to take part in one activity or the whole creative adventure.

 Our plans include:

  • A series of three online films with character/characters will support the world of the story created, and present challenges and activities as well as congratulations.  These will be accessible on kids YouTube and at www.visitdonnyland.com, which will be launching soon.
  • Online creative sessions led by a drama practitioner.  These will take the form of a Facebook live stream and meet the character Q&A and online Youth Theatre style workshops.  This will be the interactive element of the project.
  • Creative challenge worksheets.
  • A poster trail – posters with clues will be created and distributed around a local area, alongside a worksheet.  These will be child friendly and will be able to be accessed via social distancing with parents/carers.

Cast are also partnering up with Doncaster council as part of their Staycation Summer Activities – and will be delivering children’s workshops and family films here at Cast. Full details can be found at  https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/schools/summer-staycation
