Unit 4A – Money containers – Structures : Textiles
We learnt how textiles containers are designed for different purposes and
different users. We designed patterns/templates, and joined and reinforced
fabrics. We developed our designing skills when we evaluated products and used
the information to generate our own ideas and identify criteria. We communicated
our early ideas through modelling with paper or inexpensive fabric, and used
decorative techniques.
We had sufficient understanding and skills in working with textiles and
designed and made a money container that met our design criteria; we have
evaluated existing products, we have tested fabrics and chosen an appropriate
one; we have applied decorative techniques appropriately.
