Unit 3B Investigating pattern

 We investigated patterns in textiles from different times and cultures. We used ideas from these as a starting point for developing our own designs. We investigated stenciling and print-making techniques and explored ways of combining and organising shapes, colours and patterns to make our decorative textile piece.

 We explored how shape and colour can be organised and combined to create patterns for different purposes; we collected visual information; we experimented with stenciling and print-making techniques and made a printed pattern; we commented on similarities and differences between our own and others’ work; we adapted and improved our own work, according to its purpose.
