Here is our shared area with the Garden Centre

Year 1 children have been looking at seed packets, plants and blossom trees

We have been making seed packets
There are many ways to make a seed packet.
It is easy to make mistakes!
Here are some:-
Cut off the flaps - oops, better start again!
put glue on inside of flaps - oops - packet is all stuck up!
put glue on packet and it sticks to desk - oops!
Put glue on inside of packet - oops, can't open it!
How did YOU get on?

We were introduced to the idea that plants are living things, which grow and change. We became aware of similarities and differences in plants.

We have been able to name some common plants, we have been able to identify the leaf, root, stem and flower of a plant; we have recognised that plants are living and need water and light to grow and we know that we can investigate the conditions plants need for growth.
