Journeys - Aboriginal Art

We explored how signs, symbols and metaphors can be used to communicate ideas and meanings about a journey. We produced a mixed-media work, combining drawing, painting, collage and print making techniques. We learnt about artists, craftspeople and designers who communicate their ideas through signs and symbols.

We explored ideas about journeys; we collected information about signs and symbols of our work; we investigated lines, shapes, colours and textures to produce work on the theme of journeys; we combined a variety of painting, print-making and collage techniques to enhance our work; we commented on ideas, methods and approaches used in our own and others’ work; we adapted and improved our work.
